School Board
The Board of Education of the North Cape School District is dedicated to providing every child in the district with the best education possible. The school board meets on the third Monday of every month. It is the Board's intent to create a school environment that insures equal opportunities for all children and is sensitive and responsive to the needs of people in the community. Within this environment, children should develop as unique individuals with a sense of responsibility for the democratic society in which they live.
The Board also believes that the quality of the school is directly related to the quality of the staff. With that in mind, the Board seeks to attract well-qualified staff and support them with continuing opportunities for training, safe facilities, current materials and teaching aids.
Finally, we believe that the educational program is an on-going process of evaluation and change. This process is the joint responsibility of the Board, school staff, students, and the community. A constant assessment of the individual and group progress of children is necessary. The focus is on academic and intellectual growth, social and cultural growth, physical and emotional growth, and civic responsibilities.
