The School District of North Cape has an emergency and safety plan in place because we believe every student deserves a safe, secure, drug free and healthy learning environment. We cherish our students and staff and are committed to the implemenatation, monitoring, evaluating, and updating of our safety plan.
Prevention Goals:
- Promote the safety of all students and staff
- Create a safe learning community for all
- Promote the skills and knowledge needed to be safe
Intervention Goals:
- To interrupt and stop unsafe behavior
- To apply skills and information to make safe choices
- To work collaboratively with community agencies
Crisis Management Goals:
- To keep abreast of all current research and information on violence reduction
- To inform partnerships with the community toward reduction of violence and drugs
- To provide in-services and disseminate information to staff on crisis management
- To manage crisis toward a positive and productive resolution
