Hi, I'm Mrs. Johnson, the 4th grade teacher at North Cape School. I started teaching here in 1994 after I graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Parkside with a degree in English and my Teaching License Certification in Education for grades 1 – 9. After my own children completed school, I worked to receive my Masters of Education from Aurora University in 2009.
I am a lifelong residence of this area. I grew up and attended school in Burlington. My grandparents, on my mother's side, lived in Raymond Center where my grandmother was a teacher and my grandfather worked as the janitor. My other grandparents had a family farm in this school district. After I was married, I built a house and lived in this district for over ten years. My three children attended North Cape School and graduated from Waterford High School. Later, I remarried and am now currently living in Elkhorn. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two granddaughters, as well as gardening and crafting.
Teaching is in my family's blood, so to speak. Besides my grandmother, my sister, two aunts, and one cousin are all teachers. We love learning and discovering new things every day. My goal is to instill that love of learning in my students while encouraging them to always do their best.
My door is always open so please contact me with any questions or concerns that you may have.
